New Hope Counseling - Marriage and Family Therapist in Milpitas, California
“ I consider Christian counselors
to be life consultants, gifted, wise and knowledgeable.
The help they offer enables us to stop holding onto patterns
that hinder us and to move on to a new day, marked by
freedom and release.” Dr. John Bristol,
Senior Pastor, Christ Community Church, Milpitas
“I opened New Hope Counseling in 1993. I’d somehow
learned in my past that people should be ashamed if they had problems
and I didn’t at first reach out when I had problems. But when
I did reach out, I found help and new hope. I wanted to extend healing
and hope to people who needed them.
Over the past fifteen years, I have helped people respond in new
ways to the life challenges they face. At New Hope, I see childrens
and adults for individual, couple and family threapy. I treat depression,
anxiety, abuse, trauma and victim issues. I work with children’s
behavior disorders and disabilities, relationship issues and management
and resolution of conflicts.
At New Hope, you will be helped to:
• Identify and understand the sources of your concerns
• Find alternative ways of viewing situations
• Begin to manage daily stresses and establish relational
boundaries
• Improve awareness, respect and communication
• Build self- confidence and develop a support system
• Discover Biblical principles for relationships and life
goals
What happens in counseling:
We typically meet once a week for a 45-minute session. Over a period
of some weeks, I will listen, ask questions, and help you rethink
your problems. I will help you reassess your options, develop a
new position, and learn to practice healthy boundaries and behaviors,
which will result in new freedom and new hope.
